A
Medicine Story - Seeking and Walking One's
Path
This
is a story that was birthed in the Spirit World. It is about a woman
who really wants to know...without a doubt...what her spiritual path
is all about.
Upon
awakening one bright morning in her sunlit home, the woman rrealizes
that she's uncomfortable inside her self, feeling like she is not
all that real. She doesn't sense life singing in her bones and
muscles. Something is off. Her heart feels heavy, too. Even the
chirping sounds of the birds do not life her
mood.
She
decides to take a walk down the street and head into the forest. She
will look for her path there - she is determined to find it. A few
friends call on the phone before she leaves the house and she tells
them about her plan. They are not so sure about what she is after.
She doesn't sound the same. They try to make her feel better by
reminding her of what a nice life she has.
But
this doesn't satisfy her and she heads off on her quest. There are a
bunch of neighbors gathered outside the woods. When they see her,
they try to get her to join their picnic. She waves yet keeps
walking. They scratch their heads and think she is a bit strange and
distant. She hears them gossip quietly about her. This makes her
falter. "What am I doing?" she asks herself.
When
she is about to turn around from the forest and return home, a wolf
appears near the tree-line. She is stunned. She looks around to see
if any picnickers see it, but they do not. The wolf waits. "Are you
real?" she whispers to it, afraid to be heard talking to something
that might not be there. Then the neighbors would really think that
she is 'out-there.' The wolf holds her in his gaze. His eyes are as
wild and beautiful as lightning. In his presence, she smells the
earth aromas of the land. They call to her. Although afraid,
something vibrant and mysterious fills her and makes her
heart swell and her skin come alive. She likes this feeling and
follows the wolf, gently disappearing into the trees. "Are you sure
you know where you are going?" a picnicker yells after her, others
giggling in the mockery.
But
she doesn't hear them. She is too immersed in the adventure of
finding and walking her path. She is feeling real again. She knows
she will find what she is looking for.
Introductory Private Sessions, Small Group Classes, and
Apprenticeships
Individuals interested in studying Ka Ta
See begin with an initial private consultation with
Ken to explore their wants and intents. Instruction then can
take place through individual sessions, classes, or
apprenticeship.
Individual Sessions
Students who wish to get an initial sense of Ka Ta
See can schedule introductory sessions. In these
meetings you will have opportunity to experience your Song
and explore introductory teachings
which assist you in living in your aliveness and
joy. Some of these sessions are available by
phone.
Classes
Classes are for students who prefer to
explore the initiatory ceremonies and spirit journeys of
Ka Ta See in small groups. For updated information on
scheduled classes, please sign up for the EarthSong newsletter.
Apprenticeship
Students who desire to pursue Ka Ta See on an ongoing
individual basis become apprentices. In an apprenticeship you will
experience ceremonies, journeys, extensive mask work, and in-depth
exploration of your Song, your gifts, and your spirit
helpers.
Presentations and Local Classes in Your
Area can be organized by interested
individuals and organizations. Updated information on classes and
events can be obtained through the newsletter.
